GSHOCK.CA IS MOVING!
DETAILS
Technology
TOUGHNESS TECHNOLOGY
Born from the breakthrough idea of a hollow structure
The case employs a hollow structure which “floats” the module and protects it from shocks. With a full urethane bezel, cushioning material, and other shock-resistant technologies exclusive to G-Shock, the body and module interior receive all-directional enclosure that raises toughness to the highest levels.
TRIPLE G RESIST
Centrifugal, gravity- and vibration- resistant structure
The G-SHOCK Gravitymaster’s centrifugal gravity resistance specifications significantly surpass 15G, the maximum level of cockpit instruments. aGEL® insulates the module and resists vibration frequencies of up to 1000Hz and 20G acceleration. Persistently advancing its evolution, the proprietary G-SHOCK structure achieves an optimal balance and stable hand movement, even under pressure from powerful gravitational forces and violent vibrations.
SHOCK-RESISTANT STRUCTURE
All-directional guard hollow case structure
The protruding configuration adopted for the watch case and bezel protects against direct shocks, with key parts inside the module individually protected with cushioning material to prevent errors in operation or damage if the watch receives a shock. The sections where the band and the case are joined are fixed in a curved shape that enables the band itself to act as a shock absorber, thus guarding even the back of the case from direct shocks.
GPS HYBRID WAVE CEPTOR
GPS satellite + Terrestrial Radio Wave Reception
The two mutually complementary systems, GPS satellite signal reception and terrestrial (Multi Band 6) time-calibration signal reception provides prompt analysis of current time and Daylight Saving Time data to display the correct time all the time, anywhere in the world. A shock-resistant miniature antenna achieves high-sensitivity reception of time reception, tough enough for use during vigorous activities while realising stable, reliable radio wave reception from all six transmission stations across the world.
SMART ACCESS
Proprietary CASIO system for analogue movements
Combining multiple motors with an electronic crown structure for joint operation of various functions such as the World Time city selection, alarm setting, temperature measurement, 1/20-second stopwatch with fly-back, the Smart Access responds to even a pilots’ requirement for both multi-functionality and operability. Mistaken operations are prevented with a quick-lock function that facilitates easy locking or releasing with a 60° click rotation.
TOUGH SOLAR
Original solar-charging system that changes light into power
CASIO’s tough solar charge system converts not only sunlight but light from fluorescent lamps and other sources into power. A tiny solar panel is used to generate electric power and charge a built-in rechargeable battery with ample capacity to operate several energy-hungry, high-load functions stably and with ease.
200-METER WATER RESISTANCE
Basic water-resistance in every G-SHOCK. Diver’s Watch option available
A standard by every G-SHOCK, this capability enables users to wear their watch during water-related activities ranging from dishwashing to jet-skiing. Wash your car, swim, or skin-dive spontaneously with the assurance of G-SHOCK’s 200-meter water resistance technology. For something even tougher, G-SHOCK also developed the Diver’s Watch, with ISO-certified 200m water resistance and a depth meter, including reliable sensor measurements during dives to as deep as 80m, outstanding water resistance and excellent practical utility.
